Mafar Band
Mafar Band is a Palestinian band of 5 members was formed in Bethlehem, Palestine in 2014. “Jeries babish” a vocalist in the band says that the band produces the alternative indie rock and their aim is to continue producing this meaningful songs to change in society.
"Mafar" as the band says means (The Escape) which describes life as the maze that people want to escape from. The band is known for their critical lyrics about social and political problems.
The band Participated in more than 20 shows during 2015 and 2016 distributed in Jordan, Morocco and Palestine, including Bet Lahem Live Festival, Shepherds Beer Festival, Taybeh Oktoberfest, Christmas Festival in Bethlehem, Dandanat music Festival, Pam Fest the Corner's Pub Amman – Jordan and in Morocco in the The Arab Festival for Music.
The Palestinian band "Mafar" won the second place among many Arab countries in The Arab Festival for Music in the Moroccan city "Guelmim", and also got three individual prizes. It was honored also to be "The best Arising Band in 2016" in the Palestinian Alternative Music Festival 2016.
