Harvest time

Its that time of year again

Today if you go out into the garden and look at the trees you will see an abundance, an abundance of crops on the trees.

The fig trees are full of their fruit, the olive trees are full of olives, Its a wonderful sight to see.

Its that time of year when you see Palestinians up a tree with his stick beating the branches to get the olives off the tree.

Down below of course are blankets around the base ready to catch everything that God has provided this year.

Then once the olives have been collected they are taken to the olive press in the city and the oil is pressed out of them.

Hopefully this year will be a good and abundant year.

It is an awesome sight to see, family coming together to collect the olives.

Different generations coming together doing different parts of the harvest.

Its a lot of work and its hard work but it is worth it.

You have olives to eat and Oil to cook with.

Everybody has a part to play.

God brings the harvest every year, He gives us crops on our trees and money in our pocket when we sell those crops.

God is good.

Are you thankful to him for all that he provides you with?

If the crops failed we would go hungry and we wouldn't have money in our pocket.

It would be a disaster.

But thanks to God every year the crops are in the field and the fruit is on the tree.

So this year when the final Olive is picked off the tree and the final olive is pressed in the Olive press give up a little prayer to God saying
