This year has been a very difficult year for the whole world but especially for Bethlehem because there are no tourists any more and it looks like there won't be any for months to come.

Covid has destroyed our income But will it destroy our families too?

Well the simple answer is Only if we let it.

Covid has meant we have to obey the new rules and regulations.

Stay 2 metres away from someone else, and wear a mask when you are out in public.

We have also had to obey rules about weddings and meeting for religious worship.

Many of the rules are very frustrating, But they are there to keep us safe.

Its not a good time at the moment to be going to weddings and celebrating.

Its nice to go but not at the moment, it just takes 1 person at the celebration to infect many. They may not even know they have the virus and while everyone is celebrating and having a good time that person is going from person to person spreading the virus.

But that celebrating will soon turn from Joy to mourning if God forbid the worst happens, Many people catch the virus and especially if an older person catches it then it could put their life in danger.

The last thing anyone wants to do is see their family or loved ones sick, If you knew that a wedding celebration would result in a family member dying of the virus would you still go?

We are a community and we need to look after each other.

We need to be responsible for each other, we need to obey the rules to protect ourselves and most importantly the vulnerable around us.

Whatever you do in these difficult days remember am I thinking about myself or am I also thinking about my neighbour too.
