Remember what God has done

Why worry ?

Arabic

Maybe you’re like me – when I face a difficult problem, I start worrying, even though God has helped me with similar things before.

It’s nothing new.

In Exodus 15:22, the Israelites ran out of water.

And they started grumbling, even though they had seen God part the Red Sea and kill Pharoah and his armies just three days earlier.

And in Mark 8, Jesus disciples were worried they didn’t have any bread. That was just hours after they’d just seen Jesus multiply seven loaves and produce enough bread to feed 5,000 people and have 12 baskets left over!

It’s easy to let new problems crowd out past miracles. That’s why Psalm 77:11 says: ‘I will remember the deeds of the LORD; yes, I will remember your miracles of long ago.’

So, if you are faced with a difficult situation, capture those anxious thoughts, and make them obedient to Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5).

Do it quickly, before they overwhelm you. And then write down how God has helped you before and thank him that he’s going to do it again.
