I wanted in this short article to highlight the special needs phrase in terms of its concept and its meaning
which is aimed at dealing with an individual who carries this status in a different way on the basis of the obstacles that might be suffered, and which limit his potentials, and his full activities, whether physical obstacles or mental alike, and raise awareness on The status of this category in the society, which is often neglected, according to the existing environment.
They have been a vulnerable group by the community, which is often subjected to marginalization and fights to integrate into the community rather than enhance and develop their abilities and their skills and give them the status they deserve.
By nature as human beings we tend to categorize which is considered a positive thing, but we should take into account the difference between the classification of individuals according to common needs, which vary between them, and another term defines racism which is based on unfair treatment, biased, discrimination and the suppression of the intended category.
As we know there are many forms of racism, one of them known as "discrimination against people with special needs" which classified on the basis of assumed disability or apparent that adversely affects them and unite them together as part of one of them and scan their individual identity.
One of the main difficulties they face: the lack of options available to them at the work level in general, it is a result of the lack of awareness of the underlying needs and the absence of institutions that take account of these needs, as well as belittling.
Instead, we must develop individuals, and give them their rights, share various social activities with them and integrate people with special needs in their community to give them the knowledge, values, trends and life skills and change the prevailing disability culture from the culture of marginalization to a culture of empowerment.
