Betrayal

The Garden of Gethsemane was a painful place for Jesus to be,

He knew what was about to happen to him,

the stress and torment of what was to come must have been great.

His disciples were too weak to pray with him, they truly didn’t understand what was about to happen.

If they had they would have been praying every second that was available.

Then on top of it all, Judas.

The name Judas has gone down in history as a name of betrayal.

You would never call your child Judas.

Judas loved money and he was a thief.

But Jesus never exposed Judas’s sin, He loved him even though he knew what was going to happen.

What an example to each and every one of us.

Jesus was about to be crucified as an innocent man, and Judas hand was behind that betrayal yet Jesus loved him.

The bible says greater love has no man than this, to lay down his life for his friends

Jesus laid down his life for the very person who would betray him.

Judas sin wasn’t an unforgivable sin, Jesus went to the cross for that very sin.

He went to the cross for your sins and mine.

Truly this was love in action.

God loves us!
