The Journey
I remember the news came though that we had to go to Bethlehem to register ,I was working in Nazareth as a carpenter and Mary was many months pregnant.
To travel to Bethlehem was just an inconvenience,I had so much work to finish and Mary was in no state .
But the ruling had to be obeyed.
I got my donkey ready, packed a lot of food and drink for the journey,
It was going to be a long ride, and with Mary with child very uncomfortable too .
But we made it to Bethlehem, but it was so full ,it seemed like everyone was there ,what made it worse there was no rooms in any hotels .
We were tired ,hungry and Mary was pregnant.
No matter where we went every hotel was full, but one man took pity on is and offered his stable.
Thank God for him at least we had a place to rest for the night .
