There were 4 fishermen,
Simon, Andrew, James and John.
They would go out onto the sea of Galilee and catch fish.
When they had caught enough fish they would come to shore and
sell their catch of the day.
No fish meant no money.
Fishing was their livelihood.
Jesus came buy and said “Follow me and I will make you fishers of men”.
No longer would they catch fish but people.
They would catch people's hearts because God was going to give them a message to share.
The message was simple,
God loves you, Turn from your sin and believe in Jesus.
The disciples would travel and share this message.
Simon was one of the disciples who died for this message.
Today God has called every believer to be a fisher of men.
