Can you imagine being in a dark smelly prison cell?
It wasn't a nice place to be in the apostle Paul's time.
He and Silas were in Prison and in chains.
I can imagine rats running around in the cell.
But even as they faced bad conditions Paul and Silas praised and worshipped God.
They didn't think about the injustice but knew, if this is where they are supposed to be then God has a bigger plan.
After all it didn't take God by surprise.
God did have a bigger plan because at midnight an earthquake struck, and the prison guard who was responsible for all the prisoners was about to kill himself, His life was over any ways if a prisoner had escaped.
Paul said “no don't do it” and that night the jailer and his entire household were saved.
They came to know the love and kindness of Jesus.
But before it could happen God had to move Paul and Silas into Prison.
Sometimes bad things happen in our life, But whatever happens God is in control and he knows what he is doing.
Perhaps he has you facing difficulties at this moment because he wants to do something great with you.
Don't despise the bad times, God has a plan .
He may be putting you in position to use you .
So stay focused on him.
