Jonah was a man who God spoke to
God had a very special message that he wanted Jonah to deliver .
But Jonah didn't want to deliver Gods message.
Instead Jonah ran away from God.
But wisdom tells us that we can never really run away from God .
Jonah ran the other way and didn't deliver God's message to the people of Nineveh.
So God decided to teach Jonah a lesson.
Jonah was on a ship so God sent a storm.
Then after being thrown into the sea God sent a big Fish .
It was inside the belly of the fish that God got Jonah's attention .
When Jonah was inside the fish he prayed and said sorry to God.
Then the fish threw him out and God spoke to him again.
God gave Jonah a second chance .
This time Jonah obeyed and the Good news was that the people of Nineveh listened to Jonah and his message and they turned from their evil ways.
God gives second chances.
If you have messed up today, Go to God and say sorry, he is there to forgive us and give us a second chance.
