God commanded his people who were in slavery in Egypt to take a lamb and kill it.
Then they should take the blood and put it over the doorpost of their house.
The angel of death would come and kill the firstborn from every family.
The only thing that could save the firstborn was the blood over the door.
It was a n act of faith .
They could have said"That is stupid"
But if they did then there firstborn would be dead.
As we look deeper into the story we can see Jesus.
Today God speaks to us and tells us Judgement is coming because of our sin.
But even though Judgement is coming, God has a rescue plan.
Whoever takes the blood of Jesus and sprinkles it over his life will be protected from Judgement.
Passover was a symbol of what was to come .
Jesus dying on the cross for our sin.
Its his blood that protects us .
But!
