Pilate

Pontius Pilate was a weak man,

He was a leader but he was weak.

He questioned Jesus and found no fault in him.

He even told the religious leaders, “I find no fault in this man”.

Pilate could have said “Go away, don’t bother me anymore”

Pilate even admitted to Jesus that he had the power to crucify or the power to release.

But the mob rule was greater that Pilates convictions.

Pilate was going to bow down to the popular opinion and not to truth.

He didn’t want it to look like he was upsetting Caesar.

Even though he had the truth at his fingertips, even though he had found Jesus to be innocent he went with the crowd.

What a sad leader!

Pilate has gone down in history as the man who crucified Jesus, the Son of God.

All because he wanted to please another man, Caesar.

Who do you want to please? God or man?

The choice is yours.
