A quick escape
The angel of the Lord came to Joseph in a dream to warn him, Herod wants to kill the child.
God again sent an Angel to Joseph with a very important message.
A message that would save the life of the baby Jesus.
Baby Jesus was in danger, Herod was threatened by this child so he sent out soldiers to find him and have him killed.
But God knew Herod's plan, Herod couldn't hide this plan from God.
God knew Herod's heart and sent a messenger to warn Joseph.
Joseph recognised the danger and acted.
He took the baby Jesus down to Egypt where he would be safe until the danger had passed.
In the end it wasn't Jesus who died, but Herod.
God protected his child and he knows how to protect you and me.
When God has a purpose and plan no one can thwart it.
God had a plan on the first Christmas, a plan to give human kind the best Christmas present and Herod, the Devil and hell couldn't stop God's plan.
God is in control.
