It must have been a very sad day for the ladies as they collected the spices and perfume for Jesus body.
To witness or hear about the cruel crucifixion of Jesus, the one they followed.
And now they were going together to anoint Jesus body.
The sadness must have pierced their hearts.
It must have been a quiet lonely walk to the tomb for each or them even though they walked as friends together.
Then a mighty earthquake shook the ground, what was happening?
An angel was coming and moving the stone.
Their day was about to become interesting.
Their sad hearts were about to turn into a heart of joy.
They didn't know, they didn't understand what was going on but they were about to meet the risen saviour.
They met an angel at the tomb that told them that Jesus had risen from the dead.
“He is not here, for he has risen”
Amazing words, wonderful words, words that bring hope.
Words that bring joy to the heart.
They met an angel and they were about to meet Jesus.
The day started off in sadness and mourning but it ended in joy and celebration.
He is alive, Hallelujah.
