Psalm 23 is a beautiful psalm.
It talks about God being my shepherd.
A shepherd looks after his sheep because he knows they are valuable.
But the psalm is also very honest.
Even though I wander through the valley of the shadow of death.
It tells me there will be bad days, days in which I don't understand.
Some days I will be on the mountain top, other days I will be in the valley.
Perhaps all will be well then suddenly news comes through of the death of a loved one, Perhaps the doctor will tell me news I don't want to hear.
What ever takes us down into the valley we can be sure that God Is right there with us.
He doesn't take us out of the valley but he walks through with us, giving us strength all the way.
Be assured however you feel today, God is with you.
