On Christmas morning all the presents are under the tree waiting to be opened.
They are all shapes and sizes.
It's an exciting time opening presents.
They are coloured with wrapping paper, with ribbons and bows.
A beautiful sight to see.
With one rip they are open and the surprise is gone.
You get to see your present.
But behind that present someone went to a lot of trouble to get you something nice.
Perhaps they thought about the things that you like or things that interest you.
They then searched on line or searched in shops just so that they could get you a gift that would put a smile on your face.
A lot of thought and hard work just to get you the perfect gift.
God also put a lot of thought into getting the perfect gift to you.
He had to get all the people ready.
Mary, Joseph, The wise men, the shepherds and King Herod just to bring you the perfect gift.
Jesus.
Jesus is the gift that can change your life.
He is the one that can forgive you of your sins.
And put you in a right relationship with God.
God thought of the perfect gift for you.
He was born in Bethlehem 2000 years ago.
