Isaiah 7 verse 14 says
Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign, Behold the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.
What a very strange prophecy in the bible.
I imagine when Isaiah said this prophecy that people thought he had gone a little bit mad.
"Are you stupid" they may have said.
How can a virgin have a child?, Its impossible and of course humanly speaking it is impossible.
But what is impossible with Man is not impossible with God.
God sent his Holy Spirit to Mary, the Little girl in Nazareth.
She conceived and gave Birth to Jesus.
With God all things are possible.
Jesus was born into a world of sin and corruption and lived a perfect life as an example for us all.
He was that special Christmas present that came to us.
God sent his only son to us. Into a world that would beat him, despise him and reject him.
And ultimately crucify him on a cross.
At the lowest point of man's Sin, we see the highest point of God's love.
Love truly came down at Christmas.
