There is a saying in England which says "People in Glass houses shouldn't throw stones".
If you throw a stone then you have to expect a stone to be thrown back at you.
It may be fun to throw one but it isn't much fun to receive one back if you are hit or injured.
It is human nature to respond to a threat to yourself.
If you hit me , then i will come and hit you back, Its part of the circle of life .
But there is a better way,
Jesus said "Love your enemy, do good to them , Pray for them"
Forgiveness is always a better answer.
I'm not saying that it will be easy to forgive someone who hurt you or done you wrong,
alot of times we like to hold onto our hurts, but forgiveness is a better way.
Jesus said "Father forgive them because they don't know what they are doing"
Jesus forgave.
But what was happening to Jesus when he said these words.?
He was being crucified by humankind, when humanity turned against Jesus he was able to say Father forgive.
Jesus forgave as the nails went through his hands and feet,
He forgave as a crown of thorns was placed upon his head.
He forgave as he was whipped and spat upon.
If Jesus could forgive when he suffered, how much more should we forgive others when they hurt us.
Throwing a stone can destroy a life, but forgiveness brings life and healing.
