Who did Jesus Promise ?

The Holy Spirit or Muhammad ?

Arabic

John 14 verse 15 to 17 are very important verses in the bible, Because they contain a promise. Someone is going to come, Jesus is going to send someone to be with us.

Lets read the text from the New International version of the bible.

If you love me keep my commandments. And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever – the Spirit of truth, The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you.

Beautiful words but who is Jesus talking about?

Jesus says he will ask the father to send this person, So Jesus is seeing God as his father. The one who Jesus asks for will be with us for ever. How can a mortal man be with us forever? At some point they will die, everyone dies at some point in life. But if you are spirit then you never die.

The person who God was going to send cannot be seen, Now when a human is born they are there for all to see because they are flesh and blood, So is this beginning to sound like Jesus is explaining a Spirit?

The Bible tells us that we will know him because he will live in us.

Now a human being cannot live inside a person but a Spirit can.

So as we look at the text it is clear that Jesus is talking about the Holy Spirit and Not Mohammad.

And as you read the bible you will see afterwards when Jesus ascended into heaven that the Holy Spirit came down at Pentecost in the book of acts.

Jesus was clearly talking about the Holy Spirit.
