Joseph’s dilemma

Joseph was a good man; He was a just man but he was about to face a big dilemma in his life.

Mary came back from Elizabeth and she was pregnant.

How could she betray him, they were promised to be married?

She went behind his back and was with another man while she was away.

Joseph would be so sad and very hurt indeed.

I’m sure this was a very painful confusing time for Joseph.

But it wasn’t actually true.

But the truth was so hard to believe as well.

The situation needed a miracle!

And the miracle came, it came while Joseph was asleep.

Joseph had a dream and the Angel told him that Mary was a good woman,

She hadn’t betrayed him; this child would be a special child.

Planted by the Holy Spirit. This child would be the Son of God.

Joseph didn’t need to feel hurt and pain any more,

God had given him a direct answer, this child was special.

Now Joseph could have confidence to take Mary as his wife.

Because of the word of the Lord.

God is Good.
