We are looking for a King! Have you seen one?

Where would you look if you wanted to find a king?

Perhaps in a palace, sitting on a throne.

The wise men went to Jerusalem looking for a king and they found one.

He was called King Herod.

But this wasn’t the king they were looking for.

The wise men were in the wrong city talking to the wrong king.

The religious people looked into their bibles and found out that the king they were looking for would be in Bethlehem.

So, the wise men were sent on their way and arrived in Bethlehem.

At the same time the star above them moved and also headed towards Bethlehem.

They were still looking for a King, where can we find him?

The star stopped above a stable.

But you would never in your life believe you would find a king in a stable.

You find kings in Palaces and beautiful ornate buildings, with servants and wonderful food.

Not in a lowly, dusty, smelly stable.

But there he was the baby who was born to the world.

Born in a stable, the baby who was the king of the Jews.

Such a humble place for a humble baby.

The wise men had found their king, it was written in the bible.

Little Bethlehem would produce a king.

God’s word led the way with a little help from a star.

And the wise men found what they had been looking for.
