Hope
My name is David Sawayfa and I am 27 years old of Jemima Foundation. I would love to share with you my story. I received an invitation to a conference in the United States that will talk about the rights of people with special needs in the society where I was a representative of the institution that I lived in since childhood.
Jemima foundation was chosen from the owners of the conference (global access) foundation under the auspices of (Joni and friends) Foundation and then they introduced to me to talk about the special needs in the area where I live. After my arrival to the United States I got to know (Joni Eareckson) and (nick vujicic) the founders of the conference, and they explained to me the objective of this conference which is based on spreading awareness of the rights of people with needs in different communities and open the door to support the institutions that sponsor Special Needs.
The conference was in Los Angeles where we spent time talking in the meetings about how to change the look of our community and their consciousness that we are an integral part of this community, their recognition of our contribution to the community and their recognition of our talents and abilities, in addition to that we persevere in prayer with one accord with each other and praise the Lord and how amazing it was, where we were 1,000 person from 650 different countries and brings us something in common which is our faith in the Lord, and our faith in our cause in the society.
I got to know many people there, whom he had lost his eyesight or one of his parts either his foot or hand, and of course the pressure that we the special needs suffer from is not easy hiding. It may be more or less depending on the country and awareness posed by society in these different countries but public perception needs to change more and more yet, But in fact, when I saw this huge number of people gathered for one purpose had given me strength and hope in myself and I remember a phrase says that a small window of hope no matter how small in size, but it opens broad prospects in life.
This was a simple experience that I am lucky to test and share with you.
