Have you ever met anyone famous ?
I have met a number of famous people.
If you know that you're going to meet someone of importance then you will dress up nicely.
Perhaps wear a shirt and tie, or put on a jacket.
You don't want to look out of place.
We would go to all that trouble just for someone famous, because we want to impress.
Today we can come to almighty God just as we are.
God accepts us as sinners needing grace.
Jesus told the thief on the cross today you will be with me in paradise.
He didn't tell him he had to clean himself up first.
He was accepted and loved just as he was.
He came to Jesus in saving faith, just believed in him and now God forgives him and considers him righteous.
What a mighty God we serve.
