Could you trust it ?
Would you trust a person who has a reputation for being deceitful, would you buy anything off them knowing they had a reputation?
Would you support a wicked person?
There is something that is deceitful and wicked and that is the human heart.
The bible says the heart is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked.
You never really know how evil and wicked it is until you get into a situation.
If you have plenty of money to satisfy your needs then you have no need to steal but what if you have none, Would you steal then ?
Would you steal if you hadn't eaten for 5 days ?
If a riot hit your street and people were looting the local electrical store would you join in,
It's free stuff!!!
If your friend who you shared all your secrets with started blackmailing you how would you respond.?
What if you desperately didn't want that secret to get out, Would you kill to keep it a secret?
What if someone saw you kill that person, Would you kill again ?
It is true what the bible says that the heart is evil and wicked.
As we look into society we can see that man has an evil heart.
We have wars taking place, If you remember the second world war were some very evil things were done.
Many people were killed in gas chambers because they were a certain race.
We have had slavery and apartheid in South Africa
Man's inhumanity to man
I am sure that if you look in your own life you will find things that you are not proud of.
Maybe you couldn't believe that you would do such a thing, So the bible is correct, The heart is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked.
Man is in such a desperate need, Thankfully we have God who took the sins of the world.
Those things that are secret and you wouldn't want anyone knowing about them, Jesus died for them.
The bad decisions and choices you have ever made, Jesus died for them
Give your heart to Jesus and he will mold it and shape it into something good.
