Many people are addicted, they are caught in the web of addiction and can't get out.

Addiction leads to a life of wrong choices and decisions. It takes over your life. You don't act as you would normally act but the addiction has taken over and you have lost control.

Drug addicts are addicted, perhaps they don't want to be, they want to be clean but the addiction has taken over and it begins to lead them down a spiralling lifestyle, the choices they chose are in relation to the addiction.

A life on the streets in prostitution just to pay for the drugs that they are addicted to, they hate where they are but they can't get out because they are addicted.

The alcoholic is addicted, he cannot get out without help he spends all his money on alcohol instead of food, sometimes the kids go hungry because he is so focused on his addiction he can't think about anyone else.

Selfishness has controlled his life because he needs that next drop of alcohol.

Gambling can be an addiction, the next big win is just around the corner, gamblers will steal money just to put it on a horse because they are certain it is going to win, “Its my lucky day, it can't loose” and yet of course it looses, addiction turned them into a thief.

Addiction strips people of their dignity

Addiction takes over peoples lives, addicts come in all shapes and sizes.

But there is help out there if people truly want to change.

Their are help and support groups that will walk beside you step by step if you feel that you have had enough with the addicts life.

But you have to take the first step and admit there is something wrong.

Once you can do that then you are ready to receive help and there are plenty of people who are willing to help you through the next step of recovery.

It won't be easy but you can do it.
