Why waste it?

We have to be very thankful today that we have food to eat.

We can go down to the supermarket and buy the groceries we need for the coming week. It's a privilege but we don't really realize it, we take it so much for granted that there will be food in the stores.

As we look at the shelves, we can see all the different foods from all over the world, we truly have a global market today.

We take our food home and put it in the refrigerator or on the shelf, keeping our home nice and stocked up.

The food we have in our home we are responsible for so we should make sure it doesn't get wasted.

It is very sad when people buy too much food and at the end of the week a lot of it gets thrown out, It's such a waste of money and irresponsible.

There are people in other countries that are going hungry, Children that need food to eat but there isn't any.

People die because they starved to death yet we have plenty and throw it away.

I'm sure the hungry people in another country would be horrified at how much food we throw away every month.

It is sad when we have people hungry and struggling to live.

We need to be wiser with our money and with our food.

We also need to use the freezer more.

Instead of letting it get old we can put it in the freeze and us it for another time.

It's better than throwing it out.

We need to be accountable for our food.

During the second world war the people lived on rations, they were only allowed to have a limited supply of goods, they were tough times but I imagine it made people more accountable of what they had.

Let's be accountable of our food today and give a though to those who have very little.
